We all know that we are what we eat but many of us neglect our diets. We have busy lifestyles and convenience foods seem like an answer to the problem of being busy. Whether you want to eat cleaner to lose weight, to improve your health, to improve your ability to fight stress (yes, your diet can help in this area!), or to eradicate symptoms (such as chronic pain, insomnia, libido problems, etc) that point to an unhealthy diet as a possible root cause, it’s not easy to break old habits. A concerted effort on your part is important.

Here are a few tips to help you as you try your best to eat cleaner:

Planning

Planning your menu is your best approach to making better choices. Make sure that you plan in advance for meals and carry healthy snacks with you so that you are not tempted to just grab something on the go (which can lead to the wrong choices, of course). When shopping for meals, remember that clean eating principles should dominate your buying decisions. Opting for food without chemicals or preservatives is a goal. Don’t feel like clean eating has to be complicated, either. You’ll find that your grocery store doesn’t just provide ready-made meals that are unhealthy. You’ll find more healthy convenience foods than you might expect. Consider shopping at a healthy-focused grocery store with plenty of organic foods.

Accountability

Accountability for what you eat makes a big difference and helps you change your habits. Two ways to be more accountable could be:

Find an accountability partner. Doing a lifestyle change isn’t easy but a buddy system definitely helps make it easier.

Keep a food journal. Writing down everything you eat makes a difference in helping you make better choices. There are free food journal apps for your mobile phone, for example, that make it easy to keep track of what you are eating.

Supplements

Taking natural source vitamins can be a huge help in helping your body get to where it needs to be from a nutritional standpoint. Chaga mushrooms are something that can also help. Chaga boosts energy and vitality and can really help you feel more energetic and can help with mental clarity while you’re detoxing from junk food. While detoxing from many of the less-than healthy foods you’re eating, this could be potentially helpful in assisting you through the transition.

Consider checking our Chaga store for caffeine free Chaga tea, powder, capsules, and other Chaga products. Learn more about Chaga by browsing our site. It can help your health in many ways!

Best of luck on your quest for a healthier, more energetic life!

Now that spring has sprung and most people have a mindset around new beginnings, it’s often a great time for some positive new changes in their life. Is it time to do some spring cleaning in the sense of your overall health and wellness?

Detoxifying the Body:

Many health and wellness proponents extol the virtues of an annual detoxification and spring is a popular time for detox cleanses. There are many ways to help your body detoxify. Some people do a colon cleanse or purchase a liver cleanser wellness product. Some people go on restrictive diets for a period of time to help their body detoxify. There can be some great results such as improved appetite, stronger immune system, and increased energy and wellness.

Chaga mushrooms, sold here at Sayan Health, can help you proactively fight toxins and stress. If you integrate adapotgens like Chaga into your diet, stress and toxins can do less damage and help you ward off many illnesses.

Detoxifying Your Diet:

The spring opens up great culinary possibilities as lighter food becomes in season in many areas. Instead of rich comfort food to get those who live in cooler climates through the colder months, spring presents a great opportunity to eat more vegetables and fruits and to naturally eat smaller portions or fewer calories, too.

Some people do juice cleanses or raw food cleanses for a period of time. Many will cut sugar and processed foods as well. Whether you’re using a new season as a reason to get healthier or to get leaner, it’s very wise to regularly look at your core diet to see if you’re getting all that you need in terms of vitamins and nutrients and antioxidants.

Getting more Active:

Springtime is a great time for increased activity. Maybe you’ll never be able to be the sort who loves going to the gym several times a week but if you strive for regular activity, such as walking, biking, swimming, gardening, or some other method of making sure you’re really moving for 30 minutes to an hour each and every day, you’ll see and feel great results.

Please consider subscribing to the Sayan Health blog. We do our best to keep readers informed about health and wellness. If you’re interested in purchasing Chaga mushroom powder, Chaga tea, Chaga cream, or another of our products, please check http://www.sayanhealth.com/shopnow.html to browse our selection of high-quality Siberian Chaga mushroom products.

There are a number of different teas on the market. Some are sold in your local grocery store and some come from specialized places. Some are homemade, brewed by mixing various ingredients with water. Most tea comes from the Camellia Sinesis plants but in essence, tea can be made from a variety of things that are steeped in water. If you’re drinking tea that’s not from the Camellia Sinesis plant, you’re drinking what is often referred to as herbal tea.

Here at Sayan Health, we often extol the virtues of Chaga tea, an amazing adapotgen. (Browse through our website to see the specific health benefits and history of Chaga, which has been served as a tonic for generations across many countries.) This type of herbal tea comes from Inonotus Obliquus, a fungus often found on birch trees. Chaga tea is becoming increasingly known for proactive and reactive uses. Instead of harvesting it in the wild, many people choose to buy Chaga from us. We source responsibly and ensure customers receive high quality and pure Chaga. We sell powder, cream, oil, capules, and Chaga tea bags, too.

Many people take herbal teas with a variety of natural herbs and plants for a variety of reasons such as therapeutic reasons and for the taste and relaxation benefits, too. But here are some things you should know:

Some herbal teas can cause adverse reactions if you’re taking prescription medicine or other supplements. Be careful. Talk to a professional before mixing ingredients.

Some herbal teas can have caffeine. Some people are highly sensitive to too much caffeine and should check the tea before consuming it, especially at nighttime. Be careful about overdoing it with any herbal tea as certain ingredients might have a recommended volume of intake.

Be wary of claims made on herbal teas as some can make claims that are unsubstantiated or some companies sell products that are un-tested and are un-regulated by the FDA. Some teas offer laxative benefits (such as Senna) but could be potentially dangerous to your health. Always do research before taking something new, particularly if you have a health condition. Some

Many herbal teas shouldn’t be taken by pregnant women. Certain herbs have even been known to bring on premature labour.

Numerous herbal ingredients shouldn’t be taken by lactating mothers as they could affect milk supply or cause negative reactions to nursing babies.

Certain herbal teas can have effects that aren’t necessarily dangerous but that could be bothersome, such as causing hives or diarrhea.

Different strengths of tea will impact the outcome. Many herbal remedies can be extremely potent! Consult with a professional if you’re unsure of the length of brewing time for optimum results.

This is not an exhaustive list of things to be aware of for herbal tea consumption…Don’t underestimate the potential potency of natural remedies.

If you’d like to try a specific herbal tea or a certain natural remedy, it’s never a bad idea to extensively research your options and to talk to your doctor or naturopath and if you consume any tea or natural remedy and have a negative reaction it’s advisable to seek immediate medical assistance.

(If you’d like more info about Chaga, check out http://www.sayanhealth.com/about-chaga.html.)

Natural remedies can often be really useful and have the potential to provide a variety of benefits such as improving your health, increasing wellness, enhancing energy. People often look for help with specific things, such as fighting cold and flu, improving digestion, fighting chronic pain, dealing with something minor but irritating, and for help with more serious conditions, too. Natural remedies aren’t always just for people with ailments. Some people are interested in natural things they can do to increase their chances of staying well. The internet provides a plethora of fascinating and often helpful information for those seeking natural remedies for a variety of illnesses and maladies and preventative health but there are some things you need to be careful of, too:

Safety. Not every natural health recommendation you read online is safe for you. Many folk remedies aren’t proven and aren’t even safe to attempt. When looking at options for natural remedies, bear this in mind unless you see science behind specific claims. (Note & Disclosure: We’re sellers of Chaga products and have documented Chaga science to back up what we say. Not all websites that list natural remedies do this research and due diligence before making a recommendation. Always be careful when considering a new health product).

Interactions. Some herbal remedies can interact negatively with drugs and vitamin supplements. Be careful about taking something new, particularly if you have allergies, are on any medications or supplements, or are pregnant or nursing. Some interactions can be harsh or even dangerous for some people.

Complementary? Many doctors recognize the merit in many natural remedies but suggest that you don’t use them in lieu of medical attention. Ignoring a condition is potentially dangerous, of course, and the sooner certain things are treated the better the chances of recovery. Many doctors recommend natural or folk remedies as complementary instead of a replacement for mainstream medicine.

Double Check. Some recommendations that are made online aren’t entirely altruistic. Some websites suggest specific recommendations because they are selling something. Now, there’s nothing wrong with a website who shares information about products that they sell but look for signs that you are dealing with a reputable website before trusting everything that’s reported on that site. Be wary of outlandish claims and look at a site’s layout and reputation online to help you determine whether or not you’re dealing with an established and reputable website.

There are great health remedies online that can help with a wide spectrum of health and wellness areas that may be very important to you. Doing some due diligence and research will take you far in terms of finding valuable information for your health and wellness and pursuit for healthy longevity. If you’re passionate about natural health, consider researching Chaga mushrooms. We’ve got some great info here to help you learn about the potential health benefits of Chaga

Looking for tips to improve your digestion? Is your digestive system sluggish all the time or is this just a recent occurrence? Do you find that you regularly have problems with Irritable Bowel Syndrome or other uncomfortable issues? You can improve your digestive system’s function in many ways. Read on for some helpful tips:

Drink more water. Water aids the digestive process and can make elimination much more comfortable and easy for you. It may seem difficult to get your average of 8 glass a day at first but within a few days, you’ll start to adjust and most people start to crave water instead of soft drinks. (Adding green tea and Chaga tea can count toward your 8+ glasses a day!)

Eat clean. Do your best to improve your food intake by eating healthier and getting 5-10 servings of fruits and veggies per day. Beverages have an impact on your digestive help, too, so cut out unhealthy beverages as well.

Eat enough fiber. The average adult requires about 25 grams of fiber per day for optimal digestion yet most people get less than half of that. Counting how much fiber you get by reading nutritional labels will help you.

Keep a food diary. Do you have food sensitivities? The best way to determine this is to keep a food diary for about 30 days. Beyond recording everything you eat, record any bouts with indigestion symptoms, diarrhea, constipation, cramping, and so on. You may begin to see a pattern that helps you eliminate potential problem foods.

Research supplements and foods that can help you enhance your digestive function. Probiotics, vitamins, and other natural products could help. Do your due diligence before starting a new regiment by researching your options and talking to your healthcare professional.

A Stronger Immune System, Too!

Not only will the above to-do items likely improve your body’s digestive function but you’ll also benefit from a stronger immune system, too. The bulk of our body’s defenses reside in the digestive tract and a healthy digestive system can help you ward off illnesses as well as make your daily life more comfortable. As your digestion improves, you may find that you are less susceptible to the flu and other bugs that seem to be going around.

Chaga mushrooms are well known for boosting the immune system’s abilities, for improving the feeling of well-being and energy, and for helping with digestive functions. These non-toxic mushrooms have been used for many generations across several countries as a supplemental health product. Click to learn about more benefits of Chaga mushrooms and Chaga wellness.

Winter months can be harsh on our skin, particularly for those who live in cold climates. Not only is it cold outside but we often live with dry heat indoors. Our bodies become starved of moisture and our skin dries out. Here are some tips to help you battle cooler months. Looking your best can certainly lift your spirits and help you beat the winter blahs.

Winter Beauty Tips:

Moisturize! Moisturize daily. Moisturize your face, your body, and even your hair with extra conditioner. Most people buy a richer moisturizer for the winter months. It can really help!

Water. Moisturize from the inside out by drinking more water in the winter. Many of us tend to reach for hot drinks in the colder months rather than a bottle or glass of cold water and many hot drinks have caffeine in them and caffeine can leave you dehydrated. (Tip: Drink Chaga Tea. It’s hot, nutritious, and caffeine free. It also offers you a high level of antioxidants and antioxidants are a great way to look and feel great.)

Get moisture into your bedroom. With the heat on high, many of us spend 8 hours a day in a stuffy room. Add a humidifier, if possible. Even a bowl of water near your heater can help put moisture in the air.

Exfoliate. Regular exfoliation can help you shed the dryness from your skin. It’ll help regenerate your skin as well, revealing fresher skin.

Have cooler showers. A hot shower warms us up in the winter time when it’s cold outside but it’s not so great for our skin and will lower our skin’s moisture levels. Lower the temperature a little and you’ll benefit from it. Use moisturizing soap on your body and your face, too.

Wear gloves or mittens. Being outside in the frigid cold will dry out your hands and by the end of the winter, they might even look older!

Choose a good lip balm. Dry and cracked winter lips aren’t exactly kissable so make sure you choose a good lip balm. Consider a natural one, so you don’t become addicted. Many women and men find that they become dependent on lip balm for moisture as their lips quickly rely on it. Natural / organic products have a better reputation.

Get enough sleep. Sleep is conducive to looking beautiful and feeling healthy.

Eat well. Eating well will nourish your skin from the inside out. Plenty of healthy foods, especially those that are well known for great skin and hair will help. High levels of antioxidants are recommended for great looking skin and hair as well as for anti-aging benefits.

Tip: Take a Chaga supplement or buy Chaga tea for very high levels of antioxidants. Chaga cream is also available. Shop at our Chaga store.

Chaga mushrooms are becoming increasingly popular as a proactive and reactive flu remedy. They’re not new; they’ve been used for generations, but thanks to the internet and a widespread interest in homeopathic remedies, more people than ever are using Chaga mushroom extract to help them with proactive and reactive health and wellness. You can buy Chaga mushroom powder and add it to drinks, take it in pill form, and you can also buy Chaga tea bags, a wild harvested and caffeine free way to fight the symptoms of flu as well as to proactively protect yourself via an immune system boost.

Chaga vs Flu Shot

A lot of people think twice before getting a flu shot. Not only do some do this because of fear of mercury or the opinion that it probably won’t do all that much for them but many avoid the flu shots because they want their body to be able to naturally fight off germs and illnesses. Between medication and diet and poor lifestyles, many people’s immune systems are weak and in some cases lazy. Of course certain people are recommended to have a flu shot for protective purposes (because, for instance, they’re at higher risk than typical people for illness and associated complications) but for the vast majority of the population, being able to fight colds and / or flu off naturally is a preference (talk to your doctor about individual concerns). Many natural remedies can help. Chaga, oregano oil, organic coconut oil, and other natural remedies can do great things for your immune system.

Boost Your Immune System for Flu and Cold Season

By boosting your immune system going into the cold and flu season you can increase your body’s chance of fighting off the germs and either avoiding the flu or reducing how bad it impacts you if it does infect you. Here are some tips:

Get enough sleep. Lack of sleep will make your body more susceptible to illness.

Eat well. Food is protective and plenty of vitamins and minerals will help your body be in top form for fighting off illnesses. Get lots of fresh and colorful veggies into your diet on a daily basis.

Take a multivitamin to help cover you for when you can’t eat right.

Exercise. A good level of activity is another area that will help your body be able to better protect itself.

Practice lots of hand washing. Carry hand sanitizer for scenarios where you can’t wash properly but don’t discount the fact that washing with soap and water thoroughly is the best defense against helping germs spread.

Take Chaga as a preventative and herbal dietary supplement for the flu. A daily dose of Chaga could help you. Drink it in tea, take the powder in a Chaga drink or smoothie, or take it in capsule form. Siberian Chaga is the most potent and has many immune boosting properties. Many boast that it helped them avoid or recover from the H1N1 virus.

Chaga mushrooms are gaining increasing attention in holistic healing due to many areas that can be positively impacted, such as: boosting immune system, fighting chronic pain, providing anti-aging benefits, boosting energy, fighting stress, and more.

Another area that is gaining increasing recognition is the way that Chaga mushrooms can help the body fight free radicals. With an extraordinarily high amount of antioxidants in Chaga and a history of the substance being used in the fight against Cancer (in several countries), many women who have a high risk of Breast Cancer are now taking Chaga mushrooms as a proactive measure. In terms of fighting Cancer, some research has even shown Chaga to provide similar outcomes to chemotherapy but without many of the same negative side effects.

This blog is in no way suggesting that people forego treatment recommended by their oncologist for Cancer but looking at the positive results in medical research coupled with the historical data available about how Chaga has been used for centuries to fight illnesses, it’s definitely worthwhile to look at. The medicinal and adaptogen properties help the body’s immune system immensely and help people who are well and otherwise feel more energetic.

Beware of Imitations

Not all Chaga is equally powerful. Some synthetic Chaga is being manufactured / grown in sterile conditions and Chaga from some areas (such as Canadian Chaga and American Chaga) isn’t as potent as Siberian grown wild Chaga. Studies generally reveal that Siberian Chaga mushrooms are the most pure and potent Chaga mushrooms, probably due to the weather and conditions of the Siberian wilderness. While all Chaga may provide benefits for your health, those fighting and/or trying to prevent Cancer should seek out the most powerful Chaga available.

How do you take your Chaga?

Chaga powder can be added to drinks. You can also drink Chaga tea (it is sold in tea bag form and contains no caffeine) or take it as in supplement form. It’s also sold in formulas for topical application, too. It boosts your immune system and is a great way to speed up recovery from a cold that has already arrived. With 215 phytonutrients and a powerful punch of antioxidants, your body will thank you!

Many people take natural immune system boosting products proactively. You might be taking blueberries, pomegranates and even the much talked about acai berry. But Chaga has more antioxidant power than all of these fruits ( much more more than acai!).

It’s getting a lot of recognition in the medical research community for its antioxidant power. And it helps with overall stress, too. If your life is getting so hectic that you have trouble coping, you should look at your health. Stress impacts your health and your health impacts your ability to fend off stress. An adaptogen, like Sayan Chaga, enables you to better cope with stress . It can strengthen your body’s ability to fight off illnesses and adapt while it infuses your body, at a cellular level, with nutrients and detoxification power.

More people than ever look to boost their immune system. Adding Chaga supplements or Chaga tea to your wellness regimen could be a wise choice.

Sayan Siberian Chaga

Sayan’s Siberian Chaga powder, potent and pure Chaga, can be taken at a rate of two to three grams per day as a supplement. Or you can use more potent dose if you need it daily. Buy Chaga Online here.

Note: If you’re allergic to mushrooms or penicillin, Chaga may not be right for you.
