For over thousand of years, locals in the Sayan Mountains of Siberia brewed tea with Chaga mushroom they picked in birch tree forests.
Chaga's purifying properties were first documented in Chinese traditional medicine 4,000 years ago, where it was called "A Gift from God" and "King of Herbs." In the Sayan Mountains of Siberia, the locals brew a tea with Chaga, an herb that is hand-picked in the wild birch tree forests. People in Siberia drink it daily, and have been documented to live over 100 years old!
Throughout the centuries, people in Asia and Siberia have traditionally taken chaga to:
* boost energy
* support the immune system
* reduce stress
* improve digestion
* detoxify the body
Although largely ignored in the western world for hundreds of years, Chaga is currently re-emerging as one of the most powerful antioxidants and adaptogens in its class.
Using Chaga daily is a great way to increase energy and improve the immune system, fight the detrimental effects of stress on your body, improve digestion, and increase overall well-being.
In addition to being a powerful adaptogen (read more about adaptogens here), Chaga also happens to be one of the most powerful, concentrated sources of antioxidants known to nature (read more about antioxidants here – link to our Antioxidant page). Based on independant Brunswick laboratory testing, Sayan Chaga powder contains 153,200 ORAC units per 100 gram. Compared with other popular antioxidants, such as blueberries or açai, Chaga is much more potent, meaning that it wipes out free radicals with unprecedented capacity!
Directions:
Normal Daily Supplement dose: .07 - .10 oz (2-3 grams, or about half a teaspoon) of powdered Chaga extract mixed with your favorite beverage to be taken daily.Chaga extract powder has an acquired taste - it may even seem bitter as it has a lot of herbal flavor. Feel free to add some sweetener such as honey or sugar to suit your individual preference. Please note that the Daily Supplement dose can be split in half or even three or four equal portions, to be taken throughout the day
More potent Daily Supplement Plus dose: 0.25 – 0.35 oz (7-10 grams, or about 2 teaspoons) of powdered Chaga extract, to be taken daily. If the herbal flavor of Chaga exract powder is too strong and makes it difficult to ingest, add some sweetener or use more liquid (we also find that beverages with lots of flavor mask the herbal note of Chaga very well) Please note that the Daily Supplement Plus dose can be split in half or even three or four equal portions, to be taken throughout the day.
Sayan Health Chaga extract contains:
50-51% Polyphenols (chromogenic complex )
12-13% polysaccharides
1.5% β (1,3) D-glucan
<1% betulinic acid
Chromogenic complex used to be the name for the complex of phenolic connections, the chemical structure for the majority of them now is established (such as Caffeic acid, Syringic acid, 2, 5-Dihydroxyterephthalic acid and Hydroxy benzalacetone and more)
It is very important to understand why Chaga extract with 12-13% polysaccharides should not qualify as an average quality Chaga extract. Please read our FAQ for detail explanation.

Sayan Chaga extract is produced with low pressure aqueous extraction method and sublimation phase transition process, which ensures the maximum preservation of the active compounds in Chaga. As a result, our Sayan Chaga extracts have the highest content of essential substances such as Chromogenic complex and Beta ( 1-3 ) Glucans, which make our products exceptionally potent and effective.
Sayan Chaga extract is produced with low pressure aqueous extraction method and sublimation phase (drying) transition process, which ensures the maximum preservation of the active compounds in Chaga.
Majority of other manufacturers use Thermal Infrared Drying process during extraction process. For benefits of Sublimation drying please see table below.
